Wojciech Dąbrowski has served as President of the Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. since February 20, 2020. From November 2017 to February 2020 he served as President of the Management Board of PGE Energia Ciepła S.A. where he led the integration process of the Polish district heating assets acquired by PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. from the French EDF. He built a strong business line within the PGE S.A. Capital Group. In 2019, carried out the integration of district heating assets spun off as part of the PGE Capital Group asset integration process. From January 2016 to November 2017, he served as President of the Management Board of PGNiG Termika S.A., where, among other things, he led the acquisition process of PEC Jastrzębie and SEJ Jastrzębie strengthening PGNiG Termika's market position. In 2011-2016, he was Vice-President of the Management Board of Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej w Wołominie Sp. z o.o.
Graduate of the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law and Administration, where he earned a Master's degree in legal sciences. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, in the field of Exploitation of Steam, Gas and Steam and Gas-fired Power Plants and at the Leon Koźmiński Academy and the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management - Management in Public Administration.
He has many years of experience working on managerial and executive positions in government and local administration. He dealt with investment and legal advisory in the scope of obtaining funds from the European Union and managing human resources teams while implementing investment projects. He supervised the preparation and implementation of investment and modernization projects and M&A projects, as well as restructuring and development activities in enterprises, improving their functioning and profitability.
In 2019 he was re-elected by the National Assembly of Members of the Polish Association of Professional Electrical Power Plants (PTEZ) as President of the PTEZ Board of Directors. President of the Governing Board of the Polish Electricity Committee (PKEE) and Member of the Steering Committee for Scientific Research and Development in the area of State Security and Defence of the National Centre for Research and Development.
Participated in public debate on the directions of development of the energy sector, environmental protection, waste management and energy security. Appeared as an advocate of active cooperation with the Local Government and local heat distributors which contributed to the development of the local heat market and increase in the number of heat consumers connected to the system and, consequently, improvement of the environment quality and residents' living comfort. Supports and promotes cogeneration technology as the most efficient and environmentally safe way to generate electricity and heat. It participates in the works to develop a support system for cogeneration.
The President of the Management Board is authorised and responsible for managing the operations of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. in the area comprising the following organisational units: Security Department, Mergers and Acquisitions Department, Corporate Communication and Marketing Department, Compliance Department, Audit Department, Strategy Office, Capital Group Management Department, Legal Department, Management Board Service Office, and with regard to the supervision of the subsidiaries of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A., he is entrusted with the substantive supervision of the following company and its subsidiaries: PGE Energia Ciepła S.A., PGE Baltica sp. z o.o., Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 1 sp. z o.o., Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 2 sp. z o.o., Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 3 sp. z o.o., Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 4 sp. z o.o., Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 5 sp. z o.o. and also the supervision of the PGE Foundation.
