He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics and Electronics of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. He also completed a number of postgraduate studies, including European Union Law at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He completed internships and apprenticeships abroad.
Since 1993 he worked in Jaworzno III Power Plant, then since 2001 in Południowy Koncern Energetyczny S.A. (Southern Poland Power Company) in the Department of Strategy and Development, on positions from Specialist to Manager of the Department of European Affairs. Since March 2008 in Tauron Polska Energia S.A., where he held the position of Head of the Office for Regulation and International Cooperation. Currently Lead Specialist for Regulation.
Since 2002, he has actively participated in the work of EURELECTRIC, where he was the PKEE representative in the Energy Policy WG, CHP Sub Working Group, Smart Grids Task Force, Flexible Loads and Storage, WG RES. Currently in the Energy Policy and Generation Committee.
