Marcin Laskowski, Vice-President of the Management Board of the Polish Electricity Association (PKEE) and Vice-President of the Management Board for Regulatory Affairs at PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, has become a member of the Board of Directors at Eurelectric.
The Union of the Electricity Industry – EURELECTRIC, seated in Brussels, is the largest organization in the energy sector in Europe. It is an industry association representing the common interest of the energy industry on a European scale. Its purpose is to support the development and competitiveness of the industry, promote the interests of its members at the level of EU institutions and develop common strategies for lobbying activities aimed at creating optimum regulations for the energy industry. PKEE has been a member of EURELECTRIC since 21 March 2000. The Committee is the only organization representing the interests of the Polish energy sector in this organization.
- I am convinced that thanks to the presence of a Poland’s representative within Eurelectric, the most important European organization looking after the interests of the power generation sector, the opinions and positions adopted by the Polish industry regarding the energy and climate policy will be even more audible, commented Vice-President Marcin Laskowski.
Vice-President Laskowski, whose nomination was presented by PKEE, was elected by the representatives of the remaining Eurelectric members at the meeting of the Board of Directors, which was held in Athens on 21 May 2024.
