Today's decision by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office regarding the sale of electricity in the G tariff for households for 2023 will not have a significant impact on the net price of electricity for most households in Poland. In line with the government's decision to freeze electricity prices for household consumers, the net price of energy sold next year will be maintained at the 2022 level - up to the consumption limits set by law. The adopted limits include the energy consumption of the vast majority of households in Poland. However, individual consumers who consume more energy than indicated in the limits will, once they exceed them, pay PLN 693 net per 1,000 kWh for energy purchases and the distribution rate set by the President of URE for 2023. The solutions adopted by the government encourage saving in order not only to fit within the limits and pay less, but also - to reduce electricity consumption, for which a bonus is foreseen in the form of reduced bills in 2024.
