The Polish Electricity Association became the official Partner of the COP24 in Katowice. The Association’s experts representing the Polish electricity sector will be actively participating in debates and events taking place during four days of the summit – on the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 11th of December. On their first day of presence at COP24, the discussion they will be taking part in will concern just energy transition.

Monday will be the beginning of the 24th Session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. On this day, the experts from the PKEE will be participating in two parts of a debate on just energy transition. The Just Transformation Day will be divided into two theme blocks:

• 12:10 – 13:45 – Theme block I: Analytical Evidence for just Transition. The panellists will include Krzysztof Laskowski, expert of Eurelectric and the PKEE.Conclusions from research. Panellists will include Krzysztof Laskowski, Eurelectric expert and PKEE

• 14:15 – 15:55 – Theme block II: Silesia Just Transition Declaration - Implementation pathways and possible actions, with a confirmed participation of Mr Kazimierz Szynol, expert of the PKEE, President of the Management Board of TAURON Wytwarzanie. and equitable transformation - means of implementation and possible implementation actions, in which Mr Kazimierz Szynol, PKEE expert, CEO of TAURON Wytwarzanie.

Participation in panels on just energy transformation was also announced by the Polish and international experts from scientific establishments and nongovernmental organisations.

At 19:00 hours, on the 3rd of December, the stand of the PKEE will be officially opened in the Polish Pavilion at the COP24.
