Wojciech Dąbrowski appointed as President of the Management Board of the PKEE

Wojciech Dąbrowski, President of the Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, was appointed to the position of the President of the Management Board of the Polish Electricity Association (PKEE).

- I will strive for the Polish Electricity Association to effectively represent the Polish power sector. One of my priorities is substantial and close collaboration with the central, local and regional government administration and the representatives of the industry on developing systemic solutions. Changes towards low-carbon power industry are not just the investments in infrastructure but also have a very important social dimension. Polish Committee for Electrical Energy effectively represent the Polish energy sector. Wojciech Dąbrowski has been holding management positions in the power sector for 10 years. Since the 20th of February 2020 he has been the President of the Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. Prior to this, as of November 2017, he was the President of the Management Board of PGE Energia Ciepła S.A., where he has conducted the process of integration of the Polish heat assets purchased by the PGE Group from the French EDF. He has built a solid heating sector business line within the PGE Capital Group. In 2019, he has conducted the process of integrating the heat assets split-out under the assets integration process at the PGE Capital Group. From January 2016 to November 2017 he held the position of the President of the Management Board of PGNiG Termika S.A., where, among others, he has conducted the process of acquisition of PEC Jastrzębie and SE Jastrzębie, boosting the market position of PGNiG Termika. During 2011-2016 he was the Vice-president of the Management Board of Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej w Wołominie (Wołomin City District Heating Works).

Graduate of Warsaw University, Faculty of Law and Administration where he obtained the master of law degree. He has also completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, in the Operation of steam, gas, and combined-cycle power plants and combined heat and power plants, as well as at the Kozminski University and the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management - Public Administration Management.

He has many years of experience working at management and top management positions in the central and local and regional government administration. He has also worked as a legal and investment consultant on applications for the European Union funds and has managed the teams involved in investment projects. He was overseeing preparations and implementations of investment and modernisation projects as well as M&A activities and also enterprise restructuring and development projects improving their operations and profitability.

In 2019, he was re-elected by the General Assembly of Members of the Polish Association of Professional Heat and Power Plants (PTEZ) as its president. He is also a member of the Steering Committee for scientific research and development in the field of national security and defence of the National Centre for Research and Development.
